| everytime you click on one of my posts that has pics in it. I just upgraded my Canon S230 which I sold to a colleague to the G5 you see here, this camera is Canon top of the line without going to an SLR .. I was considering the Canon digital rebel but then I decided to save the money for Z modes .. I got this one from Dell for around $500. I've been a fan of Canon cameras since the late seventies when they stunned the world with their A and F series .. I still have my A-1 which was the first in the world to offer numeric display instead of the typical needles, I have dedicated that one for black and white photography. I highely recommened Canon to anyone looking for a digital camera, especially if it has the digic imaging processor.
The only other brands that I respect are Nikon and Minolta.
Sony being the worst... other brands are OK, but does not stand up to the 3 major players .. I also think that Fujifilm are making a great effort... it's my little beater camera that I keep in the car for that "can't miss" shots.
 
The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.
